I also got my knee operation on Saturday 28th April, so it was all good timing.

In 2004 I had a skiing accident. The fall left me with ligament damage to my knee, which was border line for an operation. However, after falling a few times it was clear my leg wasn't going to heal by itself. Since then I have been waiting for an operation on the NHS. I have just had a MRI scan and hope to finally get my operation in the next few months.
Over the last 3 years I put on alot of weight as I could not do any exercise. I am now sitting around 17 Stone - 108.5 kg.
As I know the operation is coming, I thought it would be a good time to loose weight. I have set an ambitious target of 3 stone in 3 months, however I am prepared to try and loose the weight over 5 months (before we go back to Uganda).
The motivation will be to raise at least £1,000. I would like £3,000 as I am already on day 5 and it is really hard, but that would mean people would have to give alot more money but that is probably not realistic.
I will keep this page updated with my weekly weigh-ins, so please support me as I loose weight and help kids in Africa.
