This Summer August 2011 i'm heading off to Uganda for two weeks!
Perhaps not to many children you know would be excited about going to school ; give them the option of staying at home with their Xbox or Wii and we all know the choice they would make.
In Uganda however, it is very different. Most children want to go to school but have no hope of an education. In Africa, 1000's of children work in their gardens with a hoe in their hands and watch as some of their friends walk to school. Their day consists of digging the garden and when they finish they will be sent to a neighbours plot to see if they can earn some more money. As they watch their friends waving goodbye they feel, "I am different. I wish i could go to school."
I'm sure you're probably thinking.. "That’s awful! Somebody should do something’?
